The Sudden Valley Friends of the Library (SVFL) will hold a public meeting on Saturday, April 10th, from 2-4 p.m. in the Dance Barn to discuss the proposal to place a library in the Middle Barn at the Community Center. This meeting will replace the one originally scheduled for March 17th. More…
In response to some of the inquiries regarding use of the marina by non-SVCA members, a Board of Directors (BOD) perspective on the subject is offered: There are 35 vacant dry spaces in the marina; if SV members do not wish to utilize them, then it is appropriate to seek to fill them. The BOD, has a fiduciary obligation to seek appropriate sources of revenue, which, due to our constrained budget this year, makes it imperative we seek additional sources of income. Of course, users will be expected adhere to the rules, regulations and bylaws of this community just as non-members who use the Health Club, golf course and swimming pools. More…

In May, the Department of Natural Resources Firewise division has granted Sudden Valley the use of a wood chipper and personnel.
Under the renewed Firewise certification yearly requirements Sudden Valley must hold a community wide event to promote fire safety. In the past, the Area Z burn qualified as our yearly event.
This year, from May 24th through May 28, there will be a chipper available for yard debris. See ACC forms below to request tree trimming and removal.
