We offer many venues to choose from for your next event. Whether you are hosting a family reunion, a birthday party, or a wedding, Sudden Valley has just what you are looking for. We offer excellent rental rates to our members and competitive rates to non-members. Please see the following list to determine which facility might be right for your event.
Adult Center- Located in Gate 2, this facility is the perfect space to rent for various occasions. The grounds include a beautiful garden, backyard pool and patio. The interior features one large and one small carpeted meeting room, modern kitchen, large bathrooms, and many windows providing excellent natural light.
Adult Center Dance Studio -The dance studio provides a calming, well-lit space for many types of classes. Currently aerobics, yoga, pilates, dance and theatre are offered by there by community members. If you would like to begin offering a class to the community in this space or just rent it to do yoga with friends, it will provide the perfect backdrop.
Community Center Multi-Purpose Room – Located in Gate 2, the Community Center is home to the SV Health Club, the Valley Coffee Barn, the Sunshine Room, The Loft, the Kids Club and the multi-purpose room. This space offers indoor/outdoor access & good natural light. This is an excellent space for meetings, clubs and groups with tables and chairs available.
Dance Barn - Located in Gate 2, this venue is reminiscent of an old grange hall. Holding up to 400 people, this is our largest venue. Perfect for dances, receptions, large banquets, meetings or seminars needing room for more than 100 people. This space hosts a full kitchen, bar, accessible bathroom, stage, dance floor and ample parking.
Sunshine Room - This playful space located in the Community Center is perfect for 0 – 6 year olds and their parents. While this space is available during open hours to drop-in (with annual pass or day pass), it is also available to rent during off-hours for Birthday partys, private play dates, get togethers and more.
Outdoor Picnic Shelters -Sudden Valley boasts two outdoor picnic shelters located steps from Lake Whatcom. Shelters are located at the AM/PM beach in Gate 2 and the Marina beach in Gate. Each picnic shelter includes picnic tables, barbeques and a fire pit.
Soccer Field, Softball Field, & Baseball Diamond – These fields are available for league competitions with lots of parking and a beautiful setting.
Main Pool – The main pool is located in Gate 2 next door to the Community Center. This pool is available to rent for your next party. With a huge deck and many tables, this is the perfect space for a summer birthday party.
