National Safety Initiatives: Every fall, our country focuses on a few national safety items: Hurricanes, Fire Safety and Earthquakes. This fall, American Red Cross and South Whatcom Fire Authority have partnered with SVCA to bring you an important tool to plan ahead and prepare for fire safety, FREE SMOKE ALARMS! Red Cross and Whatcom Fire volunteers will inspect and install FREE SMOKE ALARMS in your home. To top it off, they will even help you develop a home evacuation plan and have great, informative fliers on preparation for hurricanes and earthquakes.
