2016 Volunteer Coordinators

2016 Volunteer Coordinators

Two members of our community, Jean Ross and Grady Henderson, have stepped forward to serve as Volunteer Coordinators for upkeep of Sudden Valley parks and common areas. Our Volunteer Coordinators will be responsible for working with community members and staff scheduling and publicizing clean-up projects. The Coordinators will facilitate projects suggested by community members. They will post the projects on the Sudden Valley website, Facebook group and E-blasts, and request volunteers.  Knowing we are in a watershed, they will coordinate with Maintenance ahead of time for the appropriate equipment to be ready and check to see if any permits are required to do the work. The day of the clean-up project, volunteer workers will be asked to sign a Waiver of Liability form and sign out equipment. The Volunteers will also coordinate with Security to drop off cuttings if the Area Z Clean Green area is not open that day. A minimum of two persons is required for any project for safety reasons especially if working with power tools.

Members may request project assistance through the website or by sending email to Volunteer.coord@suddenvalley.com.
