DESCRIPTION:From November 15th through January 15th 2018\, Chris Weitzel & Associates of RE/MAX Whatcom County are sponsoring a clothing drive to help support The Arc of Whatcom County. \nThe Arc of Whatcom County provides information and referrals\, educational programs\, and funding for people with developmental disabilities\, their families and the organizations that serve them. \nExamples of needed items:\nNEW Socks\, Undergarments\, Unopened Toiletries & GENTLY Used Winter clothing\, T-shirts\, Pants\, Shoes\, Work attire \nClothing donations can be dropped off at RE/MAX Whatcom County office in Sudden Valley\, Tino’s Pizza\, the Sudden Valley YMCA and El Agave restaurant.

SUMMARY:Holiday Toy Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Looking for Christmas gifts for your children? Have any excellent condition items you’re looking to re-home\, or would like to trade for something new to your family? Join us for the Holiday Toy Exchange on December 17th at the Dance Barn! \nSince this is the first time running such an event\, we’re going to keep it as simple as possible and rely on the honor system to ensure a great event for everyone who participates. \nHOW IT WORKS: You bring any new or excellent condition/gently used toys to the event. Then ALSO bring a shopping bag or box for the items you choose to take in exchange. \nWHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: This event is specifically for TOYS. All toys must be clean\, in working order\, and have all needed parts. If it’s been scribbled on\, the stickers are half ripped off\, the batteries are dead\, parts are missing\, or it otherwise does not meet the criteria of clean\, in working order\, and have all needed parts\, please do not bring it. If it is not a TOY\, please do not bring it (i.e. no clothing\, baby gear\, food items\, etc). Remember\, these will be given as gifts to others to enjoy. \nPlease also bring a bag or box for your shopping as we may or may not have them on hand for you to use. \nWHAT YOU WILL DO: Come the day of the event as close to the start as possible with your items for trade. We’ll get them put out on tables and you will be able to browse other items and choose a few you’d like in exchange for what you brought. We are not going to monitor incoming/outgoing items and are relying on you to be fair in both what you bring and what you take. You also do not have to bring anything to “shop”\, nor do you have to take anything else back with you if you drop off. If you have a need and nothing to donate\, please come. If you have things to donate but are not in need\, also come! If you want to swap\, definitely come! \nPLEASE NOTE: In order to keep things organized and running smoothly\, we do ask that you do NOT bring kids along. \nAT THE END: Anything left over at the end will be taken to Goodwill. \nQUESTIONS?
