This past Tuesday a cat was killed by a large canine near the Beaver Creek area (Honeycomb Lane). A local resident did take photos of the animal and those photos were sent to Washington Department of Fish and Game for analysis.

Both the Game Warden and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement, have contacted Sudden Valley Administration and stated that this is not a Grey Wolf or any type other type of Wolf, but a large canine.

A search of the dangerous wildlife reporting system shows that there has never been a grey wolf incident report in Whatcom County.

There is a canine that considers domestic cats as a food source, please keep you cats or other small domestic pets inside.
