The annual regulatory deadline allowing dirt moving work within the water shed occurs at the stroke of midnight on October 1st (next Monday) at which time the dirt work moratorium begins until June 1, 2019. Contractors must have all dirt work complete (main examples being foundations poured and backfilled) and exposed dirt stabilized to prevent erosion into the watershed. With rain delays of the past several weeks having hindered the majority of contractors building homes in the valley, the Association is granting extended work hours to contractors on a case-by-case basis.
Contractors requesting extended hours will be required to post notices at the homes adjacent to their construction site informing members of the changes and providing them with contact information.
We are pushing back on requests for any work on Sunday requiring this to be justified as a crisis pending regulatory failure before we will allow.
As of this afternoon, nine (9) of the 35 active projects have requested and been given permission.
Please contact the General Manager, Mitch Waterman (gm@suddenvalley.com ) if you have questions or concerns.
Thank you in advance for your patience over the next four days.
