Other weather forecast range from expecting of mostly rain to more snow, etc. There is one constant in all of these models is that there will rain/snow and lower temperatures, due to these events the following are the plans for SVCA roads.
Sudden Valley Maintenance Readiness Posture: Crews are planning to sand and deice roads as conditions dictate, this seems likely to occur on Saturday morning early and continuing through the day. Maintenance will concentrate their efforts on the main roads and through streets, followed by cul-de-sacs and key-ways.
Vehicles are pre-staged ready for service to respond to snow and ice conditions. Sufficient staff is ready for call in as required.
Because of the size and configuration of our vehicles, cull-du-sacs and dead end road work requires two people; one acting as a spotter for the driver.
These efforts will continue as the road conditions dictate. Security will be monitoring the roads during the entire time and notify Sudden Valley Emergency Response of the conditions.
Here are some other activities that SVCA will be putting in place;
Inclement weather parking will be opened tomorrow morning, these areas are;
Ice Melt – Residents can still purchase ice melt for $10.80 for the 50lb bag at administration (Closed Friday at 2 PM until Tuesday morning at 0800).
Weather updates and road activities will be posted as conditions change, please plan ahead and stay safe.
