As you may already be aware, all members in the Association were sent a form letter advising them of the Association’s right to file a lien as it pertains to the homestead protection under Washington law (RCW 6.13.080(6)).  We, the Association, realized last year this notification should have been given annually and obtained a form letter from SVCA Counsel to provide to members which we determined was best sent out with coupons. This letter was sent to disseminate information, however we failed to also state this was a blanket notification to all members for that purpose, and that no members were being singled out.

I wish to apologize for any undue concern this letter may have caused. It was a mistake not to preface the letter with a more courteous explanation.
