Sudden Valley Road Report as of 3:30 AM March 7th

Roads are a mix of bare wet pavement with icy and slushy areas, particularly at the upper elevations.

Sudden Valley Drive and all Gate 5 areas have the most accumulation.

Caution is advised if you must drive due to the report of slush and slick conditions in many areas.

Current weather is as follows: air temperature 32 degrees, winds calm and overcast. The NWS is forecasting for Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before 10am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Wind chill values between 24 and 34. South southeast wind around 8 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sudden Valley Maintenance will be deploying sand and deicing tracks at approximately 4:30 a.m. they will be starting with the primary roads first however we are aware there are many vehicles that are parked blocking the cluster mailboxes or left parked in such a manner that the plows will be unable to get by them to work on a number of roads until they move, in particular at Gate 2 along Grand View Road.

For updated Road information please go to the Sudden Valley website, listen to 1610 am, BECoN emergency radio information system, or contact Pacific security dispatch at 360 319 8200

Again if you must drive do so with caution and be aware of the conditions and be careful.
