The Whatcom Justice Network

It is clear that Whatcom County must come together for dialogue, learning, and positive change in the local criminal justice system. The County has asked the voters twice to approve a tax for a new jail, and twice we have rejected it.

Now, for the first time, Whatcom County Council members are coming to your community for a jail listening session. The Council will have a brief presentation on the history of the jail and then open the floor to hear directly from you. They need to hear your voice, your opinions, and your experience this Tuesday, May 15th from 7-9pm at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn.

The Whatcom Justice Network is a group of people committed to reforming our criminal justice system. It supports the County Council in making sure every voice is heard. For more information find us on Facebook @whatcomjusticenetwork or on our website whatcomjusticenetwork.org.
