We expect all 2765 customers in the Sudden Valley neighborhood to be restored by 3pm this afternoon.
Crews are currently on site to cut or clear two large trees leaning against the line before reenergizing the system.
We understand how difficult it is to be without power, especially with so many of our customers working from home. Our crews are working as quickly as they can to safely assess damage and make repairs to equipment. Estimated restoration times will be updated on our outage map at pse.com/outagemap
Puget Sound Energy has just notified SVCA that the power outage scheduled for areas of Gate 2 on Thursday, October 31st has been cancelled due to unforeseen problems. The only exception to this cancellation will be Center Condos, whose power will be out from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
The outage will be reschedule for a later date as soon as the problem has been resolved. PSE/Potelco will send out an updated outage schedule.
POTELCO, Inc. is still on schedule to make final repairs to the asphalt road and parking surfaces that were disturbed during the 2019 PSE project in Gate 2. Work will be done by AA Asphalt on Marigold Drive, Ridgefield Condos, Ranch House Condos, Center Condos, and Orchid Court will start on November 4th, 2019 and continue that week until all of the locations are completed.
PSE’s contractor, POTELCO, Inc. has provided the following update for the scheduled October 31st, 2019 power outage in areas of Gate 2 in order to connected new power cable services.
Center Condos: Power will be off between 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM
Heather Brook Condos: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Ranch House Condos: Power will be off for the westerly units between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Ridgefield Condos: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Orchid Court, All the homes: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Community Center: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Library/Adult Center: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM
Barn 6: Power will be off between 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM

PSE will be installing new underground electrical cables under Marigold Drive starting Monday, August 26th, 2019. During the installation process, the west/outbound lane of Marigold Drive between Clubhouse Circle and the entrance to Sun Mark Realty will be closed to through traffic. Flaggers will provide traffic control for vehicle use of the eastbound lane of Marigold Drive. As part of this construction project, work will also occur in the Center Condominiums’ parking lot. Flyers will be placed on the doors of all Center Condo units explaining parking options.
Construction Schedule:
Monday, August 26th: The westbound lane on Marigold will be closed for underground directional drilling.
Tuesday, August 27th: The westbound lane on Marigold will be closed to cut a trench across the road and into the Center Condominiums.
Wednesday, August 28th: Closed, Center Condo’s Marigold Drive entrance for underground directional drilling through the Center Condo parking lot.
Thursday, August 29th: All of the parking spaces in front of the Center Condos will be closed to allow asphalt cutting and trenching.
Tuesday, September 3rd: All of the parking spaces in front of Center Condos will be closed to allow underground directional drilling from the parking lot to the Spa.
PSE’s customers in Gate 2 have experienced frequent outages and unreliable service due to their outdated and deteriorating electric distribution infrastructure. In response PSE has been upgrading their infrastructure to address and resolve the problem. The outdated components have been replaced but require electrical outages to transfer power from the older components to the new system. PSE has planned three electrical outages that will enable them to complete this upgrade.
The outages are scheduled on Tuesday, November 27th and Thursday, November 29thwhich will disrupt power from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The third outage will only impact the Water District and the Clubhouse.

PSE just notified Sudden Valley of a repair action occurring tomorrow Friday, March 2nd, 2018 that will effect Gate 3 Residents.
An underground electrical vault was damaged by a vehicle on Sudden Valley Drive within the last 30 days and requires immediate repair.
Beginning tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, PSE will assemble in the vicinity of the Gate 3 entrance. at 9:00 AM Flaggers will close one lane of traffic to allow repair crews to enter and repair the below grade electrical vault. PSE estimates some 70 customers will lose electrical power during this work.
PSE Flaggers will route traffic, signs will be posted, and work will continue during the day until repairs are complete; no estimate of duration has been provided at this time.
