Administration Building
The Clubhouse
- The Clubhouse is a multi-service facility housing the main Sudden Valley offices for the Administration and Accounting departments. El Agave 2 is adjacent to the Admin office, and the Pro Shop is located downstairs adjacent to Accounting. The 19th Hole Café, located downstairs, is also open early for your convenience.

Golf Course
o The Sudden Valley Golf Course was designed by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson to be the centerpiece for the private community of Sudden Valley. Sudden Valley has hosted many major Northwest tournaments, including a Washington State Open, the Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship, a Master-40, a Washington State Senior Women’s Championship, and five Washington State Men’s Amateur Championships.

Community Center
The Community Center is the hub of the Sudden Valley Recreation Department, and features the following amenities:

Dance Barn
The Dance Barn is located on the second floor of the Community Center. The room can be accessed through the first floor of the Community Center, or via the road behind the Community Center. This space is reminiscent of as old grange hall, with an occupancy of up to 400 people. This is the perfect venue for dances, receptions, large banquets, meetings, or seminars. Alcohol may not be consumed within the facility.

Fitness Center
The Sudden Valley Gym is located on the first floor of the Community Center. The gym features an extensive amount of equipment, including but not limited to strength circuit equipment, free weights, cardio (ellipticals, treadmills, rowers), stretching area, and much more. The gym is connected to the Men’s and women’s locker rooms, that include bathrooms, changing areas, showers and free day use lockers; just bring your own lock.

Game Lounge
The Game Lounge is located on the first floor of the Community Center, is a fun and safe space for children, families, and adults to play and have fun. the space features video games, air hockey, ping pong, and foosball. The room is recommended for ages eight and above. This is a drop-in room, open during Recreation Hours. For more information visit the Recreation page.

The Infant Room
The Infant Room, located on the first floor of the community Center, is its own individual room next to The Sunshine Room. This is a drop-in room, open during Recreation hours. It has toys for babies and young children, books, rocking chair, and diaper changing station. For more information visit the Recreation page.

The Sunshine Room
The Sunshine Room, located on the first floor of the community Center, is a large children’s play room featuring lots of toys and games. The Room is recommended for ages seven and below, although children of all ages are welcome to enjoy it. This is a drop-in room, open during Recreation hours and is an outstanding place for moms to gather with their children and enjoy the Community. For more information visit the Recreation page.

Pools
Main Pool
The Main Pool is located adjacent to the Community Center and accessed through the men’s and women’s locker rooms within the facility. This is a General Use pool and is staffed by lifeguards. The pool has a maximum occupancy of 125 persons. The number of persons allowed within the pool facility is dependent on number of lifeguards on duty. for more information like swim schedule, fees, etc. please visit the Recreation Page.

Quiet Pool
The Quiet Pool is located behind the Adult Center and accessed through a side gate next to the parking lot. The pool operates as a Limited Use pool, and occupancy is set as 25 adults and a maximum of 5 children. No lifeguards are present at this facility, so all users swim at their own risk. Adult Center Sauna Hours
Due to an unauthorized use of the Adult Center space, SVCA will be implementing the following changes in 2020. The restroom/sauna/meeting room area of the Adult Center will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. for Sudden Valley Members. When the library is open, the side door to the Adult Center and sauna will be open. No Access Card necessary to enter. The library is open from:
Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 AM to 8 PM
Thursday & Friday: 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 5 PM
This means during times the Library is closed, Members with Access Cards can still access this area between 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. any day of the week by placing their Access Card against the black card reader next to the side door to unlock the door.
Recreation Corridor
Description: The Recreation Corridor is adjacent to the Community Center, and spans along Austin Creek. It features playground equipment, a gazebo, a fenced small dog off-leash area, tennis courts, walking trail that connects to the Golf parking lot and Clubhouse, and a multi-use sports field.
Directions: Located in Gate 2 at 8 Barn View Court. Follow Marigold Drive and take a left onto Marigold Drive, it is a loop, take a left onto Barn View Drive and at the bottom of the hill you will see the parking lot for the Park. The Park is located to the left, south, when entering the parking lot area.

Afternoon Beach (PM Beach)
- Description: Afternoon Beach is located along a quiet protected cove with views of the golf course. It features a picnic pavilion available to rent and seasonal restrooms; same restrooms as AM Beach. It is connected to Morning Beach via the long grassy field or Picnic Point trail which leads up the ridge and around to the other beach.
- Directions: Located in Gate 2. Go down Marigold Drive and take a left at the fork in the road, continuing along Marigold Drive. Then take a left onto Morning Beach Drive, which is a dead end. The Park is located to the left.

Beaver Ridge Park
- Description: The park is a natural, wooded area, with many trail systems throughout that connect to adjacent neighborhoods.
- Directions: Located in Gate 9. Enter Gate 9 and take a right onto Polo Park Drive. Take a right onto Morning Glory Drive and the park will be on the left.

Cascade Park
- Description: The park is located directly behind the mailboxes. The area is sloped, and has a grassy area and older swing set. The park is surrounded by homes.
- Directions: Located in Gate 3. Enter Gate 3, take a right onto Sudden Valley Drive, in about half a mile the park will be located on the right on the corner of Cascade Lane.

Creekside Park
- Description: This is a small wooded park with no access other than by foot. The park has a creek down a ravine and small open space.
- Directions: Located in Gate 9. Enter Gate 9 and the entrance to the park is located almost immediately to the right. The park can also be accessed from Creekside Lane.

Gate 5 Park
o Description: This is a developed park with playground equipment, adjacent to a wooded area with a stream. It was renovated in the Fall of 2019.
o Directions: Located in Gate 5. Gate 5 Park is at the entrance to Gate, located to the right behind the mailbox cluster.

Harborview Park
o Description: This is an undeveloped park with a trail, which has grown over. The trail leads down a steep hill.
o Directions: Located in Gate 3. Enter Gate 3 and take a right onto Sudden Valley Drive. Follow SV Drive and in about a mile the park will be located on the right. This park can also be accessed from Jasper Ridge Lane.

Hendrick Park
o Description: This is an undeveloped park that has an overgrown trail. The area is steeply sloped and leads uphill from Harborview Drive.
o Directions: Located in Gate 3. Enter Gate 3 and turn right onto Sudden Valley Drive then right on Harborview Drive. Follow SV Drive and in about a mile the park will be located on the right. The park is on the left across from Winter Creek Place. The park can also be accessed from Sigma Circle.

Huckleberry Park
o Description: This park was finished in 2018, and has new playground borders and fall surface. Features a large playground structure and swings, and 3 off-street parking spaces.
o Directions: Located in Gate 9. Enter Gate 9 and take a right onto Polo Park Drive. Continue along Polo Park Drive to the left at the fork in the road and the park will be located to the left.

Lake Louise Park
o Description: The park is located on the entire south side of the homes on Whispering Cedars Court, Larkspur Court, Partridge Circle, and the north side of Nighthawk Circle. The park is a small grassy area along the trail and facing out over the lake.
o Directions: Located in Gate 2. Enter Gate 2 and follow Marigold Drive. Take a right onto Lake Louise Drive. In about half a mile, take a right onto Larkspur Court and the park will be immediately on the left.

Lake Trail Park
o Description: This park is steeply sloped and has significantly wet areas and a stream. The Park is surrounded by homes, has no off-street parking stalls, and is hard to access. There are no flat areas in the park. Neighboring houses have placed their furniture in the park area.
o Directions: Located in Gate 1. Enter Gate 1 and continue along Windward Drive. Continue along for about half a mile and the park will be to the right; right after passing North Point Drive. The Park can also be accessed off North Point Drive and Topside Court.

Little Strawberry Park
o Description: This park area is mostly comprised of a gulley. There is an extensive trail system throughout that connects to neighboring green spaces; improved in 2019. There is a small grassy area surrounded by neighboring houses off Fawn Court.
o Directions: Located in Gate 3. Enter Gate 3 and take a right onto Sudden Valley Drive. In about half a mile, take a right onto Fawn Court. The park is located between 9 and 13 Fawn Court. The top of the trail starts off Lost Fork Lane.

Lost Fork Park
o Narrow strip of neighborhood park with stone benches and a circular field

Maple Leaf Park
o Large play structure with child and infant swing sets, including stone benches under natural shade and large open fields divided by ditches

Marina Park
Description: Marina Park is a large park with a boat harbor, playground equipment, picnic shelter, and beach access. There is also a designated off-leash area for dogs as well as tennis courts, basketball court, and a pickleball court. The Park has several SVCA kayak racks.
Directions: Located in Gate 1. Enter Gate 1 and follow Windward Drive. Take a right onto Marina Drive which will dead end at Marina Park.
Morning Beach (AM Beach)
- Description: Morning Beach is a sandy stretch of beach with picnic tables and seasonal restrooms; owned by Sewer District. In summer months there is a roped-off swim area. It is connected to Afternoon Beach via the long grassy field or Picnic Point trail which leads up the ridge and around to the other beach. Morning beach gets morning sun (hence its name) and is typically shady by early afternoon.
- Directions: Located in Gate 2. Go down Marigold Drive and take a left at the fork in the road, continuing along Marigold Drive. Then take a left onto Morning Beach Drive, which is a dead end. The park is located at the very end of the street.

North Point Park
o Description: The Park is located between Lake Whatcom and the backside of homes on Clear Lake Court, Far Summit Place, and Sanwick Point Court. The park has 2 SVCA kayak racks and the play area is affected by the water level in the lake.
o Directions: Located in Gate 1. Enter Gate 1 and continue along Windward Drive. Take a right onto North Point Drive, then take a right onto Far Summit Place. The park is located between 18 and 20 Far Summit Place.

North Trail Park
o Description: The area is densely wooded, with no pedestrian access into the area.
o Directions: Located at the very top of Gate 3. Enter Gate 3 and take a right onto Sudden Valley Drive. Continue along for about a mile and a half and take a right onto Twinflower Circle. The Park is located at the end of the street, to the left, at the intersection with North Summit Drive.

Sofield Park
o Description: The park has a beach, firepit, picnic tables, and a large grassy area as well off-street parking. The Park also has 2 SVCA kayak racks.
o Directions: Located in Gate 1. Enter Gate 1 and follow Windward Drive. Take a right onto Marina Drive, then a left onto Longshore Lane. The park is located to the right on the corner of Longshore Lane, and Inlet Circle; right after Bowline Court.

Treehouse Park
o Description: Park has rustic, nonfunctional treehouse, vintage slide attached to cement structure, grassy field, and natural terrain.
o Directions: Located in Gate 3. Enter Gate 3 and turn right on Sudden Valley Drive. Turn left on Ricky Ridge Drive and the park will be on the right.
