The Nominations and Elections Committee would like to announce that Gail Chiarello’s application was inadvertently overlooked in today’s count of candidates. The application was received in advance of the deadline and was stored in a safe location separate from the other applications that were received. Because of this, it was not processed during the regular meeting. Ms. Chiarello will appear on the ballot as the only candidate for the Nominations and Elections Committee.

2022 Special General Meeting Results (Uncertified)
On August 13th, a Special General Meeting was held to vote on measures to recall two members of the Sudden Valley Board of Directors. The final tally will go through a certification process that should take place Monday, August 22nd at the next meeting of the Nominations and Elections Committee. The uncertified results are as follows:
A GENTLE REMINDER- MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING
Voters must be Sudden Valley members in good standing or their ballot is not valid and the member’s vote will not be counted. Fortunately, prospective voters still have the opportunity to return to good standing. The Administration Office is accepting payments Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm.
Ballot Box Security Update
You may have noticed the SVCA Ballot Box outside the Administration Office was closed Monday for lock replacement. We closed the ballot box because a search for keys turned up more ballot box keys than should exist. We found an original key plus other keys that were clearly not originals. All of the keys opened the ballot box. There may be additional keys we did not find and anyone with a key could have removed ballots. That is not a good thing for ballot security or a fair election.
If you cast your SGM recall election ballot in the SVCA Ballot Box before 8 am Monday July 25 and want to be re-assured your ballot was not pilfered, please contact N&E Chair Nancy Alyanak at bodalyanak@suddenvalley.com. N&E committee members collected and registered those vulnerable ballots. We can check your name or your div/lot number against our list of registered ballots.

By now you should have received your August 13, 2022 Special General Meeting Recall Election Ballot. If not, call UniLect to request a replacement ballot.
REPLACEMENT BALLOT:
If you did not receive your ballot, call UniLect’s Ballot Request Call Center, toll-free, at 1-866-466-6455, as soon as possible, to request a Duplicate Ballot.
You will need to let operators know you are with SVCA and provide further identifying information. Operators are standing by and available 24/7 throughout the balloting period.
Replacement ballots ARE NOT available through the Administration Office.

The 2021 Sudden Valley Annual General Meeting was held November 6th and the results are here. The final tally will go through a certification process that is scheduled to take place Monday, November 8th at the N&E Certification meeting. The uncertified results are as follows:

The 2021 SVCA Ballot Packets have been mailed. If you need to replace your ballot, or do not receive a ballot by October 8th, 2021, please call UniLect Election Services.

September 18th Candidate Forum Cancelled
Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, the 9/18 AGM Candidate Forum is cancelled. Join us for the next Candidate Forum on Wednesday October 6th from 7 pm – 9 pm on Zoom to meet the AGM Candidates. The Candidate Forum Zoom link will be available on the AGM Page closer to the Candidate Forum.

Deadline Reminder for AGM Candidates
This is a reminder to the community that the AGM Application deadline is Tuesday, September 7th at 4:00 PM for anyone wishing to submit a candidate application for either the Board of Directors, the Nominations & Elections Committee (N&E), or the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).
The current closing time for the Admin Office Window is 4:00 PM so you will need to submit your application before closing if you wait until the last day. N&E committee members will be present if residents have any last minute questions. Applications are available online and paper copies are available at the Admin Window. You can always email questions to the N&E Chair, Linda Bradley, at BODBradley@suddenvalley.com.
There will be a Candidate Drawing Meeting for N&E scheduled for 4:30 PM on the 7th where the applications will be opened, vetted, and the names will be placed in a drawing for their positions on the AGM ballot.
